Top 5 Awesome Fictional Materials

Comics, movies, and cartoons introduced us to a wide variety of awesome materials. These materials are so unreal I'm sure adults spending their entire life in the living room in front of a pc/console while eating chips conceptualized them. We scoured the internet to give you four of the most awesome materials ever thought of and so with no further ado, see below for our Top 5 Awesome Fictional Materials!

#5 Flubber

Originally planned to be a new viable energy source, Flubber became a blob with just too much energy (no more sugar kids). At first, Flubber was difficult to control, and wreaked havoc on its neighborhood. But after careful analysis of its abilities, they found out that it can continuously increase its speed as it bounces, can turn pitiful teenagers to basketball superstars, can give an awful dancer wicked moves, and can even be used to power a flying car (how's that Marty McFly!)

#4 Nth Metal

A native element of Thanagar (the home planet of Hawkman), this awesome metal possesses properties that can turn you from a 30-year-old-couch-potato-living-on-allowance-from-your-parents to an awesome full blown superhero! ...or super villain. Among its properties are:

Gravity negation
A person wearing an object (belt, crown, bracelets, necklace, whatever) made of Nth metal gains the ability to negate gravity, essentially gaining the power of flight.

Superhuman Powers
Nth metal also gives a person superhuman capabilities such as an abnormally high increase in strength, increased resistance to extreme temperatures and elements (fire, wind, water, etc), and speeds up the healing of wounds (hello Wolverine!)

So what are you waiting for? Start looking for Nth metal be the boss of the world!

#3 Alladin's Magic Carpet

Alladin's Magic Carpet is a unique carpet from Disney's 1992 film Aladdin and its two sequels. This carpet is a good friend of Genie. Abu and Aladdin first found this magic carpet within the Cave of Wonders where they were trying to find Genie's lamp.

We're not really sure what this carpet is made of, but who cares when you can ride it to fly and go anywhere (you'll save a lot of gas going to work or school).

This carpet also have its own personality and possesses a seemingly human level of intelligence (being able to understand and being scared by Genie's ghost stories). When this carpet is on your side you won't forget anniversaries too, the carpet once showed a certain level of memory when it reminded Aladdin about the anniversary of his and Jasmine's first date.

With this magic carpet with you, the world will be shining, shimmering, and splendid.

#2 Hulk's pants

Hulk fought all sorts of tough enemies from monsters like the Abomination and the Thing to the demigod Thor. His fights usually end up in a lot of destruction: destroyed buildings, flattened mountains, big craters, but hey his pants remain intact. That's one tough momma. I wonder if that's Lee or Levis.

#1 Bombastium

What could be the baddest, weirdest, and most awesome material of all? As Shaggy's song goes, "I'm Mr. Boombastic say me fantastic touch me in my back she says boom! boom! BOOM!" It's Bombastium baby! Bombastium was purchased by Scrooge McDuck at an auction for an amount only his ludicrous money could buy. This material has a combination of three abilities unheard of in any universe:

Time Travel
In the DuckTales animated series, Gyro used Bombastium to travel back to the prehistoric era where Uncle Scrooge got to meet Bubba the cave duck (A.K.A. "Bubba Clubba"). Astrophysicists say time travel is possible via traversable wormholes, so it's possible (but sounds like it's one inch away from impossibility). For Bombastium though it's a piece of... ice cream (more on that later!)

Matter Transportation
In the PC game DuckTales: The Quest for Gold, Bombastium demonstrated matter transporting abilities. That game was a super-mega-blockbuster-flop so let's not go into details.

Turning water into Ice Cream
Now that's what you call awesome! A super-temperature-sensitive element, Bombastium can convert your ordinary tap water into delicious Ice Cream that you'd love on a hot summer day. Why turn water into wine when you can turn it into Ice cream... right? (God don't kill me).
